OPEN HOUSE WEEKEND

Saturday August 30 and Sunday August 31 marked the occasion of the first “Open House” for Pomeroy Arabians International at the Grande Prairie, Alberta location.

This “Grande Affair” presented the luxurious equestrian estate to the general public as well as invited guests and included a performance clinic with Liz Bentley, presentation of select show, breeding and sale horses with Philip Del Pozzo, barn tours, and a huge barbecue/barn dance.

A highlight of the weekend was the demonstration ride conducted by members of PARDS – the Peace Area Riding for the Disabled Society.
Pomeroy Arabians International was pleased to sponsor a charity auction held after the barbecue on Saturday night in aid of PARDS. The weekend raised more than $100,000 for the society, the largest amount ever generated at a single event for this non-profit organization.

Bob Pomeroy and Carrie Langstroth both extend their heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers, to their own employees who worked tirelessly to complete the construction and prepare the horses, to the local business community and to the Arabian Horse community for donations to the auction and also to those who generously contributed to PARDS through their winning bids. The members and directors of PARDS also express their appreciation to everyone who participated in this very special event
